DIVISIONAL SUNDAY RECAP
Quite the Sunday in the divisional round. In the first game of the day, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys on a last second, 51 yard field goal in a game that will go down as one of the best the divisional round has ever seen. The Pack jumped out to an early 21-3 lead behind the arm of Aaron Rodgers, putting Dak and the Cowboys young core in deep trouble. The Cowboys rallied, coming all the way back to tie the game at 28 in the fourth. The last two minutes featured field goals of 56, 52, and 51 yards on its way to an absolutely epic ending. As time expired, Mason Crosby sent Dallas home. As we said earlier, Green Bay +5 was the lock of the day, and they delivered.
The second game featured one of the greatest home field advantages in the league. The Chiefs and Steelers played a tough, physical battle in which each team fought for every point they got. The Steelers could not get into the endzone, but Chris Boswell’s 6/6 in field goals was enough to propel them past the tough Kansas City defense, 18-16. The Chiefs nearly tied it up with a two point conversion, but couldn’t overcome a brutal holding call on guard Eric Fisher, sending Pittsburgh into Foxboro.
